I am a 34-year-old professional male who works long hours. Online dating is a waste of time, so aside from singles events which appear to be mostly lame, what are the best ways to meet women. I was thinking I would approach women anywhere–street, store, etc.–strike up a conversation and then ask if she would like to meet for coffee sometime. I am not creepy. In fact, I have been told I am very good looking. I just do not have a large social network.

You simply can’t. That’s not how the world works anymore. Since you don’t have a large social network, probably not one that includes females, you’re out of luck. I’m in the same predicament and I’m 26. Once you get out of college meeting women at random and asking for dates just doesn’t work.
I think we should meet! lol jk. Well, I found that from experience, and other sources (friends, family, co workers) have always met their soul mates in the random est environments. One met her husband at a hooka bar, the other in class and the other one while walking out of work. I don’t think you should look for it, it will eventually come to you. Seriously, the harder you look the more disappointed you will be. Just go with the flow, have no expectations and things will work out in your favor
trust me. Don’t force anything, you will find her.
