How To Cope With Being Single & Childless?

A few of my friends & I are at the point in our lives where we really, really want marriage & kids. However, apparently it’s not our time for that stage yet. But it’s getting more and more frustrating for us to deal with–when we see all our other friends getting married and having babies. I’ve managed to find ways to get my ‘kid fix’ by volunteering and so forth. But, any suggestions on how not to be so down on being single? there just aren’t any prospects out there for any of us—at least none that live close by. so please don’t suggest online dating–we’ve all tried that and discovered that it’s not for us. we need people who we can actually see once in a while! Any help/tips are appreciated.

I Am Ready To Date Again, But Very Nervous, Tips?

My ex-husband left me a little over three years ago now. After that happened, it took me a good two years before I got my life back in order.
Now I feel great, and look back on my darker days as something in my past, something that I learned a lot of positive lessons from, but would never want to re-live. I have absolutely no contact with my ex or his family and we did not have any kids together, either, thank goodness. I was with him ex-husband a total of 5 years (age 20-25) and now I am 28 and feel totally out of the dating loop.
I’m going to post a personal ad online, but it is very easy to hide behind a computer screen. It’s the actual going on a date thing that has me very nervous. I am confident in the person that I have become, but I tend to be very shy in social settings, preferring to be a part of the actively involved audience, rather than take center stage. Any tips?

A Few Questions On Dating.?

Ok basically I’ve known this guy for a while now, his mother went to school with my father. But I’ve always spoken to his brother rather than him (even though I did like him more) until just recently when I contacted him online and we’ve started talking. There are a few things I want to know actually. Number one, how long should I wait before I ask to meet him again in person (and it has to be really planned because he lives four hours away and I don’t have a car). Number two, do you think he’ll think I was interested in his brother instead of him? Number three, at the moment we can alone talk online so any tips on that would be really appreciated, thanks.

I’m Going To Be Meeting My Online Love For The First Time?

I’ve been dating a girl online for some time and we decided to meet in real life. I’m nervous and so is she but what’s some tips? for example I want to have a gift for her but what can I do to just make everything seem less awkward since theirs really no avoiding it. I want to have a nice greeting but not to cheesy and not to boring, I would really like for girls or someone who’s done this before to answer :) If it helps we been dating for 2 months and consider each other in love.

How Many Guys And Girls Out There Have Had Great Experiences On Yahoo Personals?

Doing It Online.. Advice/experience??

Okay, I’m really hoping someone has some experience with this.
I am dating my boyfriend online as he lives in a seperate country. (please don’t give me the “LDRs don’t work” comment, thanks)
We have been ‘together’ about 2 months so far but have been talking for longer. He lost his virginity when he was 14ish and I haven’t lost mine yet. (we are both almost 17). If we can’t see each other for about a year, the time is bound to come up (my guess is soon) where he will want to ‘do it online’ if you get what I mean. I am happy to talk about it all with him, its just that because I don’t have much experience, I’m not completely sure with how to say it, you know, how to put it in words for him.
I trust him completely, he knows that I am still a virgin and he respects all of that.
Looking for advice or tips from anyone who’s been through this before? Thanks
