Has Infidelity Increased In Relationships Because Of Dating Sites?

I was once dating this girl and found out she had an online profile. When I went to visit it through a friend’s account I saw that she was still online. She was online for almost every night. Of course, she said she barely surfs the web. I said nothing about it and dumped her. She doesn’t deserve closure for that one.
I met a new girl a couple of weeks ago through an online dating service. We’ve been out a few times and have fun. She tells me she’s really happy. I deactivated my account but notice she’s online sometimes. WTF? Is everybody just out for Mr. Perfect or searching for the next best thing or something better?
