when you just convert to Islam,of coz you will hear people say bad things about Islam,but just don’t listen to them..Islam is the best way of life but the one that gave Islam bad name is the people itself..

I think, without your BF you should tell her. I know this may seem harder for you. But if he tags along, she may not respect him if she does atm. She may seem him as converting you to get you away from her.
Ask her to sit down with you, saying you want to talk about both of your beliefs.Tell her your decision, and why you made it. How Islam made you feel that night. How you now feel at peace. Raise some of the points that your bf raised with you. And talk though them with her. See what she has to say, and take an interest in her view of it. This is my recommendation.

Islam really “honours” women. Here are some examples of misogynist sharia laws: a muslim woman who commits adultery is to be stoned to death; unmarried girls who have sex must be flogged; women’s testimony in court is half the value of a man; women get half the inheritance of a man; there is no community property between husband and wife; if a woman is killed, her indemnity money is half the indemnity money of a man; if her family follows Shafi’I law, the her clitoris must be removed at a young age – that is female castration in order for the man to make sure her sexual appetite is suppressed; she needs her guardian’s permission for marriage or else it is void; she needs her husband’s or male relatives permission for travel; she must cover all her body except her hands and face). Other, more radical Hanbali-Wahabi views require that every inch of a omen be covered including her face and hands, and she can only have a hole in front of her eyes through which she can see). No thanks. Sounds like a living hell. Where are all the feminists with this still going on in 2009!

There’s no easy way to break it to your mother. Come about it gradually, but you will eventually just have to tell her.
I’m not going to judge you – I have spoken to people who have converted to Islam. Most were like you, impressed by the knowledgeable and humble witness of actual Muslims. I do not agree with them on the Trinity, of course. But I do not doubt your convictions on this matter. As far as who gets into heaven – I leave that to God. And I suspect that those truly following God may not appear to be on the same path at times – but surely they are.
As far as how you dress, well, I would seek guidance from your Muslim community on that. A lot of Muslim women choose their own path here – after much prayer and reflection. I know plenty who do not wear a head scarf at all. I would say that you should not wear tight jeans or t-shirts, nor show your mid-riff. But other than that, it’s a decision, not some unified decree like from the Pope or something.
Good luck. You will have an interesting time of it for sure.

Agnosticism is perfect as long as you don’t fear death.
There is insufficient evidence to prove a deity but there is also insufficient evidence to disprove one.

Mom, I reject the teachings and atonement of Jesus Christ,
I don’t need him. Either I have never sinned or God doesn’t care if I sinned and God owes me heaven because I do good deeds.
I believe that Jesus is a liar. The real Christ is Isa of Islam who will break the cross and kill the pig. I anxiously await the end times so I can kill Jews.
Edit No Christ would not prevent you from making a free will decision to reject him. Is is your God given choice.
A question for you, Did you truly ever know him?
Did you understand your need for a Savior?
Did you repent of your sin and realize God was righteous and you were not.
Did you realize the sacrifce God made for you while you sinned against him.
Do you realize now the love that God has for you even while you reject him?
Jesus was tortured and died for you personally while you sinned against him.
Do you realize the Allah of Islam is not the righteous God of Abraham?
Do you know that Allah is in agreement with the serpent in the garden?

God is not subject to his creation. You can not earn paradise it is a free gift. God will not owe it to you..Allah is wrong. The serpent in the garden is a liar. God is indeed righteous and makes a way for sinful man to be brought to his righteousness through Jesus Christ. God does not weigh your deeds…there is no way to earn salvation it is a free gift from God.

I’m more surprised that you didn’t research your own religion more before you converted. It seems odd to me to make such a drastic change. Anyone who knows more about a religion than you do can convince you to see it their way because you have no argument.
Why don’t you take a step back from the whole situation and rethink your decision? I am not saying reverting to Islam is a bad decision, but wholeheartedly changing religions because a boyfriend talked you out of your religion seems a little suspicious to me.
