Hey all. After being stuck on the biggest crush of my life for several years, I’ve decided to move along. Of course, being gay makes finding possible dates difficult. It doesn’t help that most of the people I’m around don’t know that I’m gay, and I’d like to keep it that way for the sake of sanity.
I’m not looking into dating services online or otherwise. What I really want to know is how you meet people in everyday or social situations. Any interesting stories or advice would be greatly appreciated.

When looking for someone in social situations, look the person you might find interesting in the eye. Don’t stare, keep your expression as friendly as possible. If the person reciprocates, you could try to approach him and break the ice. But be prepared for any kind of response, as you will never know under these circumstances what the other person is like. If you’re the shy kinds who’d rather be approached than approach someone, try to come out of your shell, for often, being a wallflower relegates you to corners you may not ever be noticed by someone equally shy as yourself. Which my friend is not a nice situation to be in. Trust me

Just remember- you only live once so If you say something that you think is embarrassing- just shrug it off!! Who cares!! I would say the best way to meet people is to make eye contact- which i call the Evil Eye- and If they keep looking at you then go introduce yourself!! Good Luck <3
Just go ahead and ask people you like to go out with you. It doesn’t have to be about “sex” all the time, and people will see that you have nothing but clean fun on your mind, there’s nothing to worry about.
As for the “making contact”, I have to agree with most of what is said here, it’s all in the eyes. Gay guys will use looking as a way to generate or dispel interest in another guy. When I was single, I did meet guys by chance in the supermarket, standing in line for the ATM, just getting down a cab… everywhere imaginable can be a “cruising” spot, it really comes down to how they react when you look at them.
