we have chatted a few times online & he wants to talk on the phone & meet in person. he seems like a really nice guy & is really sensitive. i don’t date very much (first time ever meeting someone online) & he is older than i am. (im 18 & hes 26). any tips or anything? i’d like to find out what you think.

These are very sensitive situations.
My advice if you are to hang out with him is to go somewhere public like a mall where there are a lot of people.
I would be very careful and I almost recommend make the first time you meet known to your close friends.
You never know what kind of creeps are really out there.
Have a friend drop you off where you will be meeting. Have them stay in the parking lot for 5 or 10 minutes to make sure you are safe. They can leave after that. Your safety is the big thing here. Try to meet in a public place like the movies or the mall.
I’ve done this before, and it’s just like meeting someone you know. Not a problem at all, unless you are concerned with looks.
I met my ex from online and it was fine just make sure to meet in a public place cafe bar etc and make sure someone knows that you are meeting him and where in the event you need help etc.

You can do it, just bear in mind you Never know for sure who you’re talking online with. No matter how many times you’ve chatted, no matter how sweet he sounds, people have a good way of disguising themselves.
I don’t think you should do it. The whole thing just sounds dangerous to me. If you do decide to though just be smart about it.
