This question has been asked before and someone suggested to scan the computer. Please can anyone tell me what scanning program will work? Can I download from internet?

  First of all, get rid of the spyware, malware with malwarebytes, or adaware, and avast is a good antivirus too with spyware protection. After that is done, if you don’t have it already, get the adblock plus addon, and the wot addon. They are a must have! Also you can get spyware blaster to prevent the installation of spyware after your computer is cleaned.

  You can go to tools, options, content, check the box that says block popups. You really do need adblock plus adon for firefox.
