I have used many dating sites and overall the results aren’t bad. I didn’t date anybody since I was not looking for a boyfriend but if I were looking for one I probably would have found him by now. I did make many friends.
There are a few things to consider before you start. First of all the web sites you’ll be using to find your match. Depending on the type of person you are looking for some sites are better than others. For example, a site like eHarmony is mostly populated with people looking for long term relationships. Other sites like adultfriendfinder will mostly be populated with people looking for dates not relationships.
One other thing is to spend some time on your profile to make it attractive. After all your profile will be the first place your potential matches will go to have information on you. You want to have a profile that get people wanting to contact you and get to know you better instead of one that sends them away. Needless to say that a photo is a plus.
As a woman on a dating site, you’ll most likely get many guys wanting to contact you and meet with you. I suggest you take some time to gather information and get to know your matches before agreeing to meet with them in person. Safety first.
Good luck .
I never tried it!!
My experience with online dating has been pretty much a weird odyssey. I am over 50, the men want younger thinner and blonder “soul mates” who can climb mountains, other risk taking behaviors and have $$$ careers. Women mostly looking for a decent looking man, who is somewhat honest, has a job and no criminal record.
The whole thing Match.com is sick and I pay for it! At least in a bar you get out of your bath robe, have a drink with music/entertainment with other adults. Online it is me and the dog ignoring life outside to “hunt” down a potential mate on a computer.
