So after i finished the question assessment online, they asked me to pick a date for an interview, then i got an email confirming the interview…So my questions are…
1. Is that good?
2. Should i call back to actually confirm it has been set up?
3. What should i wear for the interview?
4. Got any tips for me??
Thank you guys soo much..
Btw im 17 years old and never had a real job before.

same thing happened to me and i got hired then turned them down after i found out how low they pay 5.15 an hour and minimum where i’m at is 7.25 so unless your desperate for a job i wouldn’t take it.
Okay for a starter job, go for it, but be aware that Sears is one of the lowest paying retailers out there. Not sure, but think they pay minimum wage…get some experience there and then go from there, Lowe’s pays pretty good, stay away from Home Depot, I heard they s*uck big time in the way they treat their employees, same for Wal-Mart…good luck
1 – yes
2 – yes, call to confirm
3- wear clean, good clothes. Not necessarily a suit (unless you want to) but dress nice.
4 – be honest and answer questions with as few “ahs” “unms” etc.
A year ago i did the same thing at their parent company K-Mart.The interview you set up they more than likely will not know about it until you get there. Then it will take them awhile to find your paperwork online. This sort of thing i advise is not a good way to find work or set up an interview. Most times cause their have been others whom asked the same thing.most the time its a started interview set up by the company not the store and i can only suggest you show up and sit patiently if they dont have a clue your comming.Answer all the questions in a way in witch makes you feel good about yourself. The online process does not allow you to sell yourself so to speak and thus you must be excited but reserved and answer to the best of your ability. As for what to wear i suggest you go into sears before the day of interview and see what other employees are wearing and wear exactly that. That will show them you can already provide the correct atire but also that you are willing to form to their code of conduct
And remember even though you may not get the job their is always more places to look and continue to look until you find one, dont hold your breath on one place to call
