I have a difficult situation – I had a very bad breakup almost a year ago with a guy I went to university with. He abused me emotionally, and once psychially. I haven’t had any dates since him, and I withdrew from school because of the stress he was causing me. I am very bored because I don’t know anyone in the neighbourhood who’s my own age, and my friends are too busy. The only option for socializing is the Internet, but I don’t want to go to a site where my ex won’t be. I know he’s on PlentyOfFish.com, and I thought the site was kind of lame and immature. I want a site where I can meet people my own age and possibly get dates, but I don’t want a site where people rate pictures of each other or a site that’s only focused on sex. I tried Lavalife, and hated it. Can anyone recommend a free dating or social networking site with people 18 – 25 in Canada, college/university students and with intelligent message boards and a large porportion of males? Please help!!

Why not try going back to school? That would certainly help fill the time, you’d meet new people, and you’d be improving your life.

CHANGE YOUR HANDLE AND THEN GO TO ANY SITE THAT IS IN THE ‘NET AND SO WHAT IF YOU EX IS ON THEIR JUST DON’T BOTHER WITH HIM AND MOVE ON UNLESS YOU ARE STILL CARRYING SOME SORT OF FEELING TOWARDS HIM, THEN THE PROBLEM IS YOU AND NOT FINDING THE SITE THAT YOU MENTION.
