I have several friends who met their partners online, and both are still very happy years later. In both cases I think they were very honest about who they were, and had been on enough dates to know when it was working.
So I’d suggest you take your time, expect to have a few bad/not so great dates, but give it a chance to meet the right one.
Good luck!
A friend of mine went on a few, and all I have to say is, “Thank God I am married.”
Just keep your expectations realistic, and be honest about yourself.

For me the most important thing is to include a photo on your profile. And make sure it is a realistic and current photo.
Good luck & be happy
Hi Peter,
Most singles don’t find someone for at least 6 months.
It’s all about keeping it real.
- I agree about the photo. Keep it realistic
- About your expectations? Keep them realistic
- Keep your profile honest. Don’t try to be someone your not.
My advice is to give it a go. It’s a life experience that everyone should try.
