If you were a lady, would you REALLY want to go to lunch with a man whose main criterion for women was that he could find them without getting out of his chair, for free?
If you found the date of your dreams in Philadelphia and you lived in Seattle, would you hop on a jet in hopes he/she hadn’t lied a little about age, weight, marital status, number of kids, prison record, occupation, amount of hair, color of hair, income level, hobbies and interests?
Any site that advertises “Free dating” would soon have lots and lots of men, some of them married, looking for a good time on the cheap, some women whose favors could be rented by the hour, and a few poor lost souls.
Join a church, team, political action group, club or a night class. Do a CROP walk or an AIDS walk. Decide what you are interested in and start doing more of it.
I found my husband through my dog groomer. Maybe the moral of the story is to stay away from online dating, get a dog and start socializing with other people who also love dogs. That, or become a dog groomer and get to scope out all of the single guys who care enough to groom their dogs. They turn out to be good housekeepers, too.
