  • He may have hated christians, but he was one….go figure.

This man belonged to that Church back a few years, and tried to become a Missionary. They refused him and he left the Church because of that.
One cannot state that all Christians, all Atheists, all Jews, all Muslims —–are murderers just because one or some of their religion, murders. First of all it is a judgment and secondly that is sooooooo narrow minded. Put everyone in the same box – again!
I hope in time such comments will disappear, and people will become more understanding and less judge mental.

  • A Christian is a follower of Christ.
Can you, with your mind’s eye, see Jesus brandishing a gun, shooting at innocent people at random?

and you’re going somewhere with this…..”point” of yours………….?

“The gunman was identified as Matthew Murray, 24, who was home-schooled in what a friend said was a deeply religious Christian household. Murray’s father is a neurologist and a leading multiple-sclerosis researcher.”
Hmm. He was also thrown out of that missionary school. Sounds pretty anti-Christian all of his life, no?

Okay, he hates christians. That is a choice he has made and he will live with the consequences.

I read that he’d been brought up in a very religious home, so maybe he rebelled against it and developed a hatred of all things religious. Perhaps the shooting was his twisted way of taking revenge on those he perceived to have robbed him of a normal childhood, it’s happened beforehttp://www.rickross.com/reference/family…

Judging form Y! answers alone… I don’t find this at all surprising

Yes, he was a Christian, and I also think it’s interesting to note that one of the places he attacked was the church that used to be headed up by TED HAGGARD.
“The New Life Church made headlines in 2006 when its founder, Ted Haggard, resigned as a pastor after admitting to what he called “sexual immorality” in a scandal involving a male prostitute.
Haggard was a vocal supporter of President George W. Bush in 2004 and helped turn Colorado Springs into a major evangelical center.”

    Read this… http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071210/ap_o…
“The gunman believed to have killed four people at a megachurch and a missionary training school had been thrown out of the school a few years ago and had been sending it hate mail, police said in court papers Monday.
The gunman was identified as Matthew Murray, 24, who was home-schooled in what a friend said was a deeply religious Christian household. Murray’s father is a neurologist and a leading multiple-sclerosis researcher.”

And…..? Are you surprised by this since he shot up—Christians? There’s plenty of hate to go around for everybody and given the way that some supposed “christians” act toward others, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened more often in the future.

    Thanks,
    To bad I don’t care.
We could have all watched the news and figured that out.

Raised by fundys, thrown out of the fundy schoool no wonder he was nuts people have screwing with his mind for years.

  • Strange

I think it’s extremely unfair to judge non-Christians by this. It would be completely unacceptable to say all Koreans are like Sueng-Hui Cho, but judging all non-Christians by this guy is alright? I’m not saying you’re doing that, I’m just mentioning that some people will use the opportunity to judge.

  • So? He was deranged no matter who he hated.

  • Maid In Britain

AND, Christianity is not the only religion their is billions what believe differ.
what is the point you trying to prove? he did it because he didn’t believe in god or a different god? come on!
I’ll make a different point to you Hitler was a christian, but i don’t tar all Christians with the same brush as him, maybe you should learn to do the same

What’s it matter? He went into a mall armed with a gun, shot down random people he couldn’t have hoped to know, and then took his own life. He was a worthless coward any way you slice it.

  • moosebac

Oh he wasn’t christian? Great now the people get to come back from the dead now right? What does it matter what some insane person thought. Christian, atheist, disneyian, or whatever else. He was first and foremost insane.
