Agree all down to luck. My sister met a genuine guy. I have met about 8 jerks over the last 18 months. They all seemed genuine but after a couple of meetings it was obvious just wanted a quick fling and 3 were still married but lied. Dated 2 both turned out to be on rebounds and their ex’s turned up on the scene and I felt I was there to make them jealous! Have been on various sites for about 6 months. Both free and fee charging… Some are flagrant sex for sale sites, Lots of pictures of naked genitalia etc. The two best sites I found were both free, Smooch and Plenty of Fish. ,, I have good friends I chat to on both sites and have met about 6 ladies from them.. As yet no long time long lasting romance but some good friends… The ladies I speak to seem quite nice.. The ladies tell me that some of the men are not so nice, I don’t see the men obviously. This seems rather a pity.. They are not bad thank goodness i did not have to pay..Yes it was free back in the good O’ days..Now is a buck for a wink or a chat…Give it shot..a bit addictive but possibly worth it. Met my partner 8 years ago and still going strong..Good Luck.

I would recommend one where you have to pay and complete a few personality tests. Match.com is very thorough, perhaps too much so – you have to be patient, but that said they will pick out a handful of people suited to your personality. It saves trawling through endless profiles.
Dating Direct isn’t too bad.. a friend and I tried it a few years ago and we met 2 pretty decent guys.
