I met my partner on-line. I admit, I was completely skeptical going in to the on-line experience. I had one terrible date, one so-so date and then I met my partner and fell head over heels in love. We’re celebrating our one year anniversary this month. So far, so very good. We both had bad experiences before we met but if we hadn’t persevered…..
I’d say it’s up to you to refine your search, switch to e-harmony or find another method of meeting singles. There’s good and bad in everything…. Just be patient and truthful.

I’m curious – thinking of trying it again, feeling a little lonely. Which dating sites worked for you? Any tips? I’m meeting someone I met online for the first time next weekend. He lives in MS and I live in LA. He is traveling almost 3 hours to see me. I had planned for us to go to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants and then maybe see a movie on Friday night. My date, when recently discussing our plans, suggested some other things we could do on Saturday night and if he can get out of a commitment that he has on Sunday, then things we could do then too. Does he think he’s staying with me for the whole entire weekend? I have not offered him to stay at my house, and I certainly would not feel comfortable having someone I just met staying there anyways. I just don’t know how to approach this. He’s a nice enough guy, and although we have not been talking too long, we’ve really hit it off and have been talking on the phone every night since. We’re both still in college, so him staying in a hotel when he came down here could would be financially hard on him. I guess I just need to know how y’all would go about discussing this topic? I don’t mind him coming for the entire weekend but I don’t think he should stay with me. I e-filed my tax return both federal and state and I have all ready received my state refund, according to my tax person he received an approval from the irs. They said they have received my tax paperwork, but could not give me a date. I have called the phone line and check online status but it still says they have no information. I was told it will update and then I am told don’t hold my breath because the irs does not update as well as the states system. Does anyone know anything? There are many scammers out there but I hope there are still people who are dedicated to screening candidates in person to find you the right match. Before I spend a lot of money to hire a matchmaker, I’d just like to know if you’ve had positive or negative experiences with it. Online dating has not worked so well.
