I met my partner on-line. I admit, I was completely skeptical going in to the on-line experience. I had one terrible date, one so-so date and then I met my partner and fell head over heels in love. We’re celebrating our one year anniversary this month. So far, so very good. We both had bad experiences before we met but if we hadn’t persevered…..
I’d say it’s up to you to refine your search, switch to e-harmony or find another method of meeting singles. There’s good and bad in everything…. Just be patient and truthful.

Hi guys –
I have been out of the dating scene for a while due to a long relationship. Now, I’m back in and met this wonderful guy. He and I met in person (we’ve talked online for nearly 2 years) on Saturday night at a local nightclub. He acted very into me. He held my hand, danced with me, told me I was beautiful, and even kissed me. We were inseperable all night. At the end of the night he said he’d call me soon.
The next day he texts me and initiates conversation on MSN, the day after he messaged me on Facebook, and then yesterday he finally asked me to hang out again on Friday. Now, my question is… since I have been out of the dating scene for so long, how do I know what he’s after? I am hanging out with him in hopes of a relationship blossoming but I have no idea what his intentions are. Are there any signs you men give us women when you are really into us? Any other first date tips for me? I want to WOW him without messing this up!!!

My question(s): Have you ever been in a serious relationship with someone you had (originally) met online? What tips would you give for making one work?
My story: I’m 15, my girlfriend is 13 & 1/2. We’ve been going out since June 3rd 2009. I met her on an online game about 6 months ago. Ever since I met her I’ve been crazy about her. She’s funny, VERY pretty, sweet. And I know she’s not some old pervert – I’ve seen her on webcam before . She’s not comfortable with dating guys in real life… She really likes me, and I really like her. But the sad thing is we’ll probably never meet as we’re young and she lives 720 miles away. It really depresses me because I love her so much and she’s so beautiful and unique… Although I feel I’m not being fair to her because she’s in public school where she lives and she says she gets asked out by guys alot. She says she tells them no because she loves me. although again, I feel we’ll probably never meet. And if we do it’ll be way in the future. I’m home schooled, and thus I have no real life friends. I would normally never date online like this for obvious reasons but I’ve grown so close to her so fast. She’s anything I could ever dream for. I’m just trying to find a way to better make this relationship work. Something to make us feel closer (in distance). I don’t have a cell phone (strict parents) so I can’t call her. I feel like if I ask her to go on cam I’m bothering her cause she most likely doesn’t want to most of the time … I really trust her, and I really love her. I really want it to work. But IM conversations are getting boring…we’re BOTH running out of things to say! I don’t want to let her go. How can I keep from losing her, I really don’t want us drifting apart/losing interest in eachother because we really have something. She’s my dream girl

back in Jan from my job a week after meeting and he ofter me a job for his company and I took it reporting to his brother not him so no conflict of interest. We have been on a several dates and he been so kind and nice. Being that I was laid off some of my bills have fallen behind so he has been paying some of my bills said that he does not want me to ruin my credit. He respect that we need to wait to have sex. I lost my mother 3 years ago to breast cancer. It was a really hard road for me and my dad to cope because she was only 43. But its been exceptionally hard watching my dad try to find someone to share his life with. I don’t want him to be alone and its taking him longer than he thought. He’s tried a few of the online dating sites (match, chemistry) and everyone seems more interested in playing silly dating games instead of trying to connect with someone. He’s in his late 40s and really isn’t the go out and meet people type. Anyone have a good experience with one of the dating sites? Or have any other ideas about where he can meet someone?
