Online Dating Blog

So my cousin is engaged to this guy who we have already established is an immigrant (from an extremely poor country) and in the US on a Visa. He proposed within 4 months of meeting her online at a Christian Dating site. *Bells go off…ding ding ding* So anyways, this part is HIGHLY suspicious in itself. Now here comes what I consider the “icing on the cake.”
She has a facebook page, and so does this gentlemans “mother” or so she says she is. Well, my cousin just made the page and she put “engaged” as her status and posted a pic of them together as her profile picture. The “mother” commented by saying “Best Son and Daughter on earth.” But who really knows if this is a mom or some fake profile, I mean whos mom has a facebook anyways. SO now she removed her engaged status and didn’t even put “IN a relationship.” Its just nothing there. She told me that he asked her to remove it because his cousin would see it and get upset. I asked why the cousin would get upset and she didn’t know.
IS there ANY explaination for this request? I am absolutely sure this guy is a scammer but just throwing it out there, is there ANY way hes legit?
