How do I find guys to date? I’m newly out and don’t have much experience in dating. I’m also not into the bar scene. I have a difficult situation – I had a very bad breakup almost a year ago with a guy I went to university with. He abused me emotionally, and once psychially. I haven’t had any dates since him, and I withdrew from school because of the stress he was causing me. I am very bored because I don’t know anyone in the neighbourhood who’s my own age, and my friends are too busy. The only option for socializing is the Internet, but I don’t want to go to a site where my ex won’t be. I know he’s on PlentyOfFish.com, and I thought the site was kind of lame and immature. I want a site where I can meet people my own age and possibly get dates, but I don’t want a site where people rate pictures of each other or a site that’s only focused on sex. I tried Lavalife, and hated it. Can anyone recommend a free dating or social networking site with people 18 – 25 in Canada, college/university students and with intelligent message boards and a large porportion of males? Please help!! Is there any way to look up the date someone got married online for free?? Anyone with personal experiences with online dating sites please respond. What are the do’s and dont’s. Has anyone here had a successful relationship from meeting online? With a busy life and so little freetime is this the only way to meet someone? I’m sick of bars and social clubs. What is the key to meeting someone right in this day and age of technology and the fact everyones so damn busy? I almost think being gay would be easier but I am so not attracted to the male body so thats out. Just frustrated with how times are changing and how little people get to interact with one another face to face. I live/rent on a lake and have a ski boat so I get to meet people on the weekends but all I run across is married people or girls who are just way too young, it sucks.
