Can Anyone Suggest A Cool Dating Site Free Or Paid?

Please tell me about the ones you’ve used yourself. Tell me from experience only. Also tell me about the ones to avoid from your own experience. I’m thinking about making the jump and try online dating but I don’t want to regret it.

Why Paid Dating Sites Are Better Than Free Dating Sites?

I’m from Australia and have from time to time used many dating sites to find a partner, I find online dating to be a good and easy way to meet people.
There are more free dating sites than ever before, I personally found the free sites to be poor quality and not effective in helping me find a partner. They were too easy to join, they had no age or identity verification system in place, so they had lots of fake profiles and scammers loved it, any 9 year old would have no problem joining these sites.
So why would I join a major paid site? Personally the top major Australian dating sites are rsvp, adultmatchmaker, aussiematchmaker & match, on any of these sites I can find 100′s or more profiles just in my local area. They make serious attempts to keep out fakes & scammers, the sites are easy to use, members on these sites are more serious about dating, the sites have support, better chat rooms, better services… I don’t bother with free sites anymore, they just waste my time

Online Dating, Free Vs Paid Experiences?

Sort of a random question, but what sort of success have people found on online dating sites, free vs paid?
My experience has been this – I signed up for a few free sites 2 months ago (okc and pof), talked to a bunch of ladies (mostly not from my city!). In 3 weeks, one girl asked me on a date, though I had to decline as I was not comfortable with the distance/age gap/personality. Recently I just met someone in real life (though only ‘as friends’) – so it took 2 months for any real-life realization.
On the other hand, on a whim I signed up for a paid site (yahoo one) and within 1 week I have a full-fledged date (tomorrow), and several other girls from my city expressing interest.
Also I found that the girls *I* express interest to completely ignore me, so I have to pretty much wait for them to make first contact.
And this question is moreso for the guys, as I’d surmise it’s much easier for girls to find dates.
