I am an attractive 47 year old woman who would like to use an online dating service. The problem is that I can’t seem to take a picture that comes close to matching my looks in real life. Candid shots are even worse; apparently I’m just not photogenic! Any tips on how to take a better photo?

I am getting ready to enter the online dating world, and well sadly, it’s a world dominated by “survival of the prettiest” so I need a great photo of me. I’m a transwoman – so I think there is an upside and downside to each approach. Professional pix – upside, it will look good / downside – the viewer will think that it is “doctored”. Picture done by a friend – upside – legitmate and not “doctored” / downside – not as good b/c of lighting, etc. Any experience/advice? What’s up with that. The women my age give me a 7, and the older women (40+) give me a 9+ rating. Well the thing is that in the future I might just go a dating website just to find a girlfriend and I’m conserned that a dating website does not have the ablity to put a picture of yourself in your dating website account. I just need to know if it is true so that way if you match yourself with a girl or boy then they will know who you are but if you don’t have a picture of yourself then the person will not know who you are. So is it true or not Recently one of my friends told me that some one online has posted my pictures to a gay dating site. I’ve contacted the site moderators four times to get my pictures removed from the site, sending them my own pictures of me holding a piece of paper with what they wanted on it to prove that it was me and the person on the dating site is using my identity. They have not responded back and the profile is still on the website. How can I get this removed from their site since aparantly they do not care about protecting the identity and reputation of victems of situations such as this? |
