Ladies Only Please: Serious Dating Advice Needed For A Love-shy Guy?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love-shy – this essentially describes my current situation with women. At age 30 and despite many professional successes and being told I’m a very nice and caring person by many people, I have never had a g/f or been in a relationship (ever).
To try to fix the relationship situation, and b/c repeated efforts at online dating just didn’t work for me, I signed up for a local brick-and-mortar matchmaking service that tries to match people looking for serious and long-term relationships, with the ultimate goal of matching people with persons that would make good potential partners for an eventual married relationship. Criteria used to match are based on compatibility, numerous scientific personality assessments, and other character assessments. I am guaranteed nearly 30 unique matches for potential dates, which the agency coordinates.
So the first match arrived by postal mail today, with the a summary of the match’s interests, profile, and phone number included. To set up the actual date, I have to call the match to ask her out and take it from there to see how things go. However, given the approach being used and my inexperience with relationships, what would you recommend actually talking about with the match on the first phone call? Also any recommendations on what would be a good first date idea? Thanks!

Have You Ever Been In A Serious Online Relationship?

My question(s): Have you ever been in a serious relationship with someone you had (originally) met online? What tips would you give for making one work?
My story: I’m 15, my girlfriend is 13 & 1/2. We’ve been going out since June 3rd 2009. I met her on an online game about 6 months ago. Ever since I met her I’ve been crazy about her. She’s funny, VERY pretty, sweet. And I know she’s not some old pervert – I’ve seen her on webcam before :P . She’s not comfortable with dating guys in real life… She really likes me, and I really like her. But the sad thing is we’ll probably never meet as we’re young and she lives 720 miles away. It really depresses me because I love her so much and she’s so beautiful and unique… Although I feel I’m not being fair to her because she’s in public school where she lives and she says she gets asked out by guys alot. She says she tells them no because she loves me. although again, I feel we’ll probably never meet. And if we do it’ll be way in the future. :( I’m home schooled, and thus I have no real life friends. I would normally never date online like this for obvious reasons but I’ve grown so close to her so fast. She’s anything I could ever dream for. I’m just trying to find a way to better make this relationship work. Something to make us feel closer (in distance). I don’t have a cell phone (strict parents) so I can’t call her. I feel like if I ask her to go on cam I’m bothering her cause she most likely doesn’t want to most of the time :P … I really trust her, and I really love her. I really want it to work. But IM conversations are getting boring…we’re BOTH running out of things to say! :P I don’t want to let her go. How can I keep from losing her, I really don’t want us drifting apart/losing interest in eachother because we really have something. She’s my dream girl :(
Advice please!
Thx,
Jason.

What Is A Good Online Dating Site For A Mature, Professional, Serious Woman?

Hi, before I got married I used Match.com. But it was good for 20′ somethings….
Now, I am trying to recommend an online dating site to my aunt. She is in her 50′s. She is very trusting, and down to earth. However she is having a hard time finding a caring, stable man in her age range.
Please can you tell me which online dating sites you recommend, and why?

Any Online Dating Success Stories For People Over 40? Positive Tips? Serious Answers Only, Please.?

I met my husband on a singles chat line. We dated for a year and a half and we have been married for 4 years now. Use all the precautions you would normally use when getting to know someone (meet in a public place the first few times you see each other, etc.). It also doesn’t hurt to conduct a criminal background search on someone that you are thinking about dating seriously, and they are relatively inexpensive. I am 52 and my husband is 49.
