I’m 25 and I’ve never had a kiss, let alone a boyfriend. I live in a very small city where the guys just aren’t interested in and/or attracted to black women, particularly those that are dark-complected like myself. I’m smart, friendly, I have a nice figure, and I always get compliments on my smile.
I don’t like the bar scene, but I go to many professional functions. I’ve tried online dating, but most guys don’t even list black women in their preferences. And the few guys that respond are usually your typical no job baby momma types complete with the shiny grill or they’re much older, which I’m not really for.
I’ve been told that it takes time, but I’m almost thirty! What should I do? Am I too picky? Are men intimidated? am I just not attractive enough to even be approached?

My employer uses Bluecoat Web Filter monitoring system to detect and track employees who are referencing inappropriate sites and these sites include some which pop up on the right hand side of my yahoo email screen. Is there any way I can configure yahoo mail to supress these unsolicited advertisments or at least supress the inappropriate ones? It seems like many ads are for online dating and other questionably appropriate topics. I would like to contact her since i know now she is single. But i am just curious if a woman is serious when they post these “Ad’s” so to speak. |
