I’m 24 and young professional that just moved to a new city, looking to meet someone to spend time with. Ive been going out to bars with friends, hoping to meet new people…but I’ve learned fast that I don’t want to date any of the guys I meet there.
I decided to join a website to network with other people…and am planning to meet up with someone who lives near me this week. We exchanged numbers, he seems nice and normal. We’re meeting eachother at a public place for dinner, not late at night. I’m comortable with the idea, but a little nervous. And hesitant to tell people I met him online.
What are your experiences/thoughts on the whole “online dating” scene?

A friend of mine met her boyfriend of several months via Match.com and their relationship is great. Another friend dated a couple different guys via Match.com and both highly recommended it to me. I just got off a long relationship and I was really depressed and broken down. I have a lot of people suggesting this to me. What I want to know is, is it worth it? What are some good sites? I was on this one called “plentyoffish” Had zero luck, after trying to contact some girls. Whatever reason, i wouldnt get a response. I been told im not ugly so i dunno whats keeping girls away. Anyway, i hardley go out cause i figure whats the point since im not a good looking guy. So im thinking about going back to dating websites, what do you? Yay?
