Is A Woman Usualy Serious About Dating On These Online Dating Sites?

I recognized a girl on a free dating site. I have never socialized with her before but I have seen her before at several large parties and always thought she was cute. I would like to contact her since i know now she is single. But i am just curious if a woman is serious when they post these “Ad’s” so to speak.
