I’m so sick of the immature boys in my classes and have just had it with the people in my town. I had to move back home and transfer schools because my old one was too expensive to it’s hard to even go out and meet people with my friends up at school and me at home.
I feel like there has to be a nice, mature, guy out there and I just am tired of waiting. I am really thinking of trying out an online site but I just feel a sense of shame in that for my young age, like people will think something is wrong with me for being on a website instead of out meeting people. What do you think?

OK, here’s the lowdown, I’m 17 years of age and am going on my first real date with a girl I like a year younger than me. We’re going to the cinema and then probably have lunch afterwards, the problem is I really do not have a clue what to do.
I haven’t had a girlfriend for three years, that may be shocking to people, I don’t consider myself extremely good-looking, probably 6/10 but my forte is my personality. Nearly everyone I hang out with says I am the funniest person they know and they also say I am kind and considerate.
But I have a lack of expertise dealing with girls. I take ages to make a move and by the time I’ve plucked up the courage a boy dates her and goes out with her.
As for my date, I haven’t spoken to her in person, seen her a few times but mainly talk online. She goes on webcam (no dirty stuff  ) and I make her laugh with most my lines. So please can you give me some general dating tips, any help would be much appreciated.

I know a lot of middle aged people do it..do younger people in my age range do it too? If so…has anyone young ever had a good experience with it? BTW I mean things like match.com and e harmony…not online dating as in having a bf that only exists online.
Well here is my situation.. I feel like I’m caught in a little catch-22.
I had just recently gotten out of a 1 year relationship about 3 months ago. I’m still in love with the girl, I’ve tried a lot to patch things over, nearly everything.. but she insists that it’s over and there is nothing to work out. She started dating someone else a few weeks after me, I came to find out the new guy was one reason we had broken up.. She had been talking to him the last couple of months we were together behind my back. This really isn’t my problem though.. although I still have feelings for her I’m at terms to accepting it and am ready to move on. My previous girlfriends all share something in common, I have met them all through friends of friends, or I had worked with them. Which is kind of where I’m in a bind. The current place I work at, I don’t have any co-workers I’m interested in.. And most of my friends are also my ex-girlfriends friends. So naturally I haven’t been hanging out with most of them to avoid running into my ex; we also had a pretty bad breakup so it’s kind of awkward being around them. I have thought about going to bars, but I’m not much of a drinker. Likewise, I think its nearly impossible to meet “the love of your life” at a bar. Since I’m not much of a drinker, I don’t want to meet a girl that likes to drink.. I’ve thought about doing this “online dating” thing but it’s not really for me.. I’ve looked at Plentyoffish and Okcupid and again, it’s not really for me.. and I haven’t exactly found what I’m looking for. I’m a firm believer in that “You meet someone when your not looking for them”, but as of now I’ve been down in the dumps trying to get over my ex, and it’s pretty difficult being alone and not having someone else to preoccupy my time. I’m not the type of guy that HAS to constantly be in a relationship, but the companionship makes me feel a lot better then being alone all the time. So I guess my question is, what’s a good way to find someone who’s in the same boat as me? Again I’m not into the online dating scene.. some of the girls I have talked too seem to have some problems, that’s probably why the resorted to trying to date online.. And I don’t want to “fall in love” with someone at a bar..

like other question that i had post all i want is a boyfriend…i live in malaysia….and im Still in a highschool…..Malaysian gay are not easy to find because there are not many of them…..so instead of i find them why don’t they find me….but it is not easy…you have to wait for a long time for someone to realize that you are gay….and im not the type that like to go in a gay bar…im not even sure if they are any gay bar in malaysia…..and also finding a gay in my school it is not easy to since im a shy person…..and by telling other of my friend that im a gay…..they might not even like me…..so in this situation the only ways is online dating or someone stood up and say im a gay and i love you….so can someone introduce me to other gay so i don’t feel alone…..
My gay friend is a student at Northeastern University in Boston and has asked me to post this for him. As far as I know Boston is an accepting and open city, yet he says he’s had trouble finding men to go out with. He’s not bad looking, and he’s not socially retarded so I don’t know what the problem is. Anyway, he’s considering using online dating services. I think it’s a bit silly considering he’s so young. What do you guys think?
