My older sister wants me to stop talking to this guy. He’s my age, he’s Mormon (I’m Christian), he’s pretty accident prone, and yeah he likes me. But he’s still a really good friend to me. Sara (My sister) thinks he’s a bad influence on me while she has a boyfriend online who’s an atheist and he’s perverted and mean. One of the rules is that whoever you date the family has to like while I don’t like Sara’s boyfriend but I can’t do anything since my parents don’t know about him. All I can see that will resolve this problem is stop talking to my guy friend who’s name is Geran. What do you guys think?

well sence your family doesn’t know about ur sis’ bf then tell her that she has no room to talk. that she is dating someone who is not from the same religon as ur fam is. just lyk u r harmlessly talking to a guy who is diffrent, at least that is almost the same as ur realigon and while her online atheist bf is lyk completly diffrent religon than her. i hope i have helped u, i have been in ur position befor and i just wanted to help.
Although “Rip’s” advice is very…amusing, I say go for it. Love is a great reason to rebel. Very Romeo and Juliette, without the whole dieing part. And tell your sister to butt out, and get a life, nothing that serious is going on. And religion shouldn’t matter. I am an atheist my self, except unlike your sister’s “online buddy” i am not perverted and weird. I hope this advice helps.
I think you should talk to your sister, and tell her how much you like this boy. if she see’s how much you like him, she should be happy for you. it’s your life, not hers. do what you believe is right. you’re the only one who can decide what YOU want in YOUR life
did he do something in particular that she disagrees with? otherwise, it doesn’t sound like she is the best person to be taking advice from.
