Alright, so I’m 19. I’m a straight guy, and still no girlfriend. The reasons are: I don’t ask girls out enough, and when I do (rarely) it doesn’t work. The few girls who were into me were complete turn-offs for me for some reason. I also don’t have that many friends and do not go to social events very often.
I thought about perhaps creating an online profile on a website. Why? You can be a little bit more picky and also have a higher chance of finding someone nice (searching based on interests, what they write about themselves, etc…).
I think that overall I’m okay, I’m just lacking experience. And I would like to start dating.
What’s the general opinion about these matching websites? And I think that being a university student with no car and little money is also a problem :\

I think the matching websites are OK as long as people don’t lie.
It’s fine by me, but be careful because people on the internet are great liars of course, and be glad that you are putting yourself out there until you’ve found your perfect match!

You should def try it, when your not doing it in person, talking to someone online seems to be like you have more courage… try myspace or something… it wouldn’t hurt… it def works

matching sites are no good. for one thing, people can say whatever they want online. people can lie and put up fake pictures to represent them, and when you meet them they are not at all the person you where expecting.
another thing is that even if the person doesn’t really lie on their profile, they may over-emphasize certain things or stretch the truth a bit. and it still leads to the person not being everything you were expecting.
i guess if you want to do this, the key is to expect that every one is going to stretch the truth at least a little.
so far i am not a fan of them
but who knows after few years if am still single i may consider
to check out how it will be to do the on line/or much making thing!

A pile of crap they are. If a person has it together. They will glow and shine in real life. Even if they are not that good looking. Try working on making you better and more interesting in the real world.
