I have tried match.com which was OK. I’m looking to try again preferably from a different website. However, I am looking for something more long term rather than random hookups (i.e. craigslist.org). I am OK with paying some money as I think people on those sites are more serious about finding someone. I am not religious at all so no thanks to eharmony.com or jdate.com. If you have a suggestion, please let me know why you think it would work for me. I’m a 30 year old Chinese female professional who is conservative.
Dating online isn’t just about actual “dating websites” be more versatile. Try Myspace, or a Yahoo Chatroom. Don’t settle for dating sites alone. Because as strangely as it may seem, you’d probably have a better chance of actually meeting someone for a long term relationship on a website like Myspace, or Yahoo. I feel it gives you more of a opportunity to meet someone as a friend and “grow” into something more.
Loosen up some, surf the web, for people you think are nice, and chat with different people outside of dating sites. The more time in energy you put into all these “dating sites” could be time spent chatting with someone nice, without any expectations.
When you try too hard, and put too much time into dating online, it backfires. Have fun with it. It’ll happen.
Good Luck
