My first experience was actually with friends and I had a WONDERFUL time. That led to me wanting to go by myself so eventually I did. It was a nightclub with a dance floor and when I went by myself, I just danced by myself all night long. After that I got picked up by my first boyfriend and my first sexual experience. So I had a great time on both occasions. Of course this was in the 80s so some things have changed. I don't see why your friends won't go with you. But you should go and just have a good time. Here's a little advice: 1. Don't get too drunk (if you drink) 2. Don't put your drink down and leave it unattended (someone might slip you a roofie which is the date-rape-drug) 3. Smile and don't be looking like a sour-puss 4. Have a good time and that way you can enjoy the night even if you don't meet anyone 5. Don't drink and drive 6.
